COMMONWEALTH 19TH CENTURY COLLECTION in two SG "Devon" albums of mint / unused & used stamps expertly arranged and sympathetically displayed and annotated with catalogue values added in light pencil (many stamps not catalogued and many with values which are now a little low as it was done in 2016. Totals in excess of £100,000) spans Antigua, Bahamas, Bangkok PO's, Barbados through to Uganda, Zanzibar & Zululand. Nice collections for almost every colony and many noteworthy individual stamps which are too numerous to mention such Br Guiana 1853 4c blue imperf, Mafeking Siege stamps incl 1d Goodyear & 3d Baden-Powell, Mauritius 1848-59 1d red Post Paid, 1848 4d green, 1859 2d Lapriot, Uganda 'Missionary's', Britannia & Chalon classics, later sets, etc. The collector clearly had an eye for overall freshness, the usual range of mint with / without gum, small faults, forgeries but better than normally encountered and including many better items (approx 2500 stamps) Lot 32 [c]
